How to Delete Your Data

You have full control over your personal data on MaphamConnect. You can delete your account and all associated data directly through the app using either of these methods:

Method 1: Through Profile Screen

  • Open the MaphamConnect app on your device
  • Go to your Profile screen
  • Navigate to Account Settings
  • Select Delete Account
  • Follow the confirmation prompts to permanently delete your data

Method 2: Provider Account Section

  • Open the MaphamConnect app on your device
  • Go to the Account Provider section
  • Access Account Management
  • Select Delete Account
  • Confirm your request to delete all data

What Data Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following information will be permanently removed:

  • Personal information (name, email, phone number)
  • Profile details (age, gender, education)
  • Location and district information
  • Service category preferences
  • Business listings and provider profiles (for service providers)
  • Reviews and ratings you've provided

Note: We only collect essential information needed to provide our services. We do not share your data with external parties and use location, age, and category preferences solely to show you relevant and nearby services.

Data Deletion Timeline

Once you request account deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days. During this period:

  • Your account will be immediately deactivated
  • You will no longer be able to access the app with your credentials
  • Your profile and listings will be hidden from other users
  • All data will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days

Data Security

Your privacy and data security are our top priorities. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

  • Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using secure protocols
  • Secure Storage: Your data is stored in secure, encrypted databases
  • Access Controls: Strict access controls ensure only authorized personnel can access user data
  • Regular Security Audits: We conduct regular security assessments to maintain the highest standards

Important Considerations

Before deleting your account, please note:

  • Irreversible Action: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
  • Data Recovery: Once deleted, we cannot recover your data or restore your account
  • Active Subscriptions: Cancel any active subscriptions before deleting your account
  • Outstanding Transactions: Complete any pending transactions before deletion
  • Backup Your Data: Export any important information before proceeding with deletion

If you don't want to permanently delete your account, consider these alternatives:

  • Account Deactivation: Temporarily disable your account while keeping your data
  • Privacy Settings: Adjust your privacy settings to limit data collection
  • Data Download: Export your data for personal records
  • Selective Deletion: Remove specific data while keeping your account active
